FAQs

What is the difference between a dietitian and  a nutritional therapist?

A dietitian is a person who has undergone extensive training within the conventional medical framework. It is a title that is protected by law, similar to the title doctor. They often, but not exclusively, work within the NHS.
A nutritional therapist will also have undergone extensive training but the scope of that training will have been different. A nutritional therapist's approach is perhaps a broader, more holistic approach that includes considering the root causes of health problems and the use of herbs, other natural supplements and functional tests if appropriate. What is your approach?

My approach focuses on holistic, individualised support, addressing your unique health challenges and also your personal preferences. I'm happy to offer advice on a variety of dietary choices including vegan or ketogenic if that is what you think works for you. I very much value the scientific approach and don't make recommendations unless I feel they are well supported by available, good qulaity evidence.

Do you offer support?

Yes, I provide ongoing support throughout your journey. This includes answering follow-up questions via email and follow up consultations and adjustments to your nutrition plan as needed. I'm here to guide you every step of the way.

What are your fees?

My fees vary depending on the type of consultation and services you choose. A detailed pricing list is available on the website. Discounts are available for those on means tested benefits. Feel free to contact me for any specific inquiries.
